From the DynaRent Mobile app, you can create a work order for an object.

You can create a work order from several pages in the DynaRent Mobile app:

  • Home page.
  • Task details page.
  • Object details page.

This topic explains how to create a work order from the Task details page.

When you confirm the new work order:

  • In D365 FO, a work order is created with a work order line for the defined object. The default company, as defined in the app parameters, is used to set the company on the work order header.
  • If you assigned the work order to yourself, in D365 FO, the work order line is automatically released.
  • If you did not assign the work order to yourself, in D365 FO, the work order line gets the status Created. In D365 FO, this work order line can be confirmed and assigned to a resource.
  • If you assigned the work order to yourself, in the DynaRent Mobile app, the work order line is added as a task to your schedule for the defined date and time.

Note: If you work offline, you cannot create a work order from the DyanRent Mobile app.


Standard procedure

1. On the Task details page, tap 'Work order'.

2. In the Work order name field, enter a meaningful name for the task to be done.
3. In the Object serial number field, enter the serial number of the object for which you create the work order.
 

Note:

If you create a work order from the:

  • Home page, no default object is given.
  • Task details page, the task object is the default object.
  • Object details page, the current object is the default object.

4. If the object is not available for rent till it is repaired, set the Change availability field to 'Yes'.
5. Select the desired start and end date for the task.
6. If you want to do the task yourself, set the Assign to myself field to 'Yes'.
7. In the Internal note field, enter any task-related note for internal purposes. For example, the purpose of the task.
8. Tap 'Next'.
9. Review the work order to be created and tap 'Confirm'.
